Rena Sherel SOFER
Rena Sherel Sfer is an American actor
from America. She is well-known for her roles in American daytime television,
as well as guests on shows that are episodic and made-for-television movies. In
1995, Sofer received a Daytime Emmy Award for her portrayal of Lois Cerullo in
the soap show General Hospital. Quinn Fuller has been her role on CBS's soap
opera The Bold and The Beautiful since 2013. Sofer was the daughter of Susan
Sofer (a psychologist professor) and Martin Sofer (a Conservative rabbi). Her
family later relocated to Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania. Sofer later moved with
her father, David, to Teaneck, New Jersey in 1970. But, by the time Sofer was
just five years old, they lived in Western Pennsylvania. They were brought up
in Ambridge, Pennsylvania by their father, Beth Samuels Jewish Center. Later,
she attended the Frisch School, a coeducational Mordern Orthodox Jewish high
school in Paramus, New Jersey. Sofer was raised in North Bergen where her
father was the synagogue's rabbi Temple Beth El. After graduating from North
Bergen High School in 1998, she pursued her education at Montclair State
College. Sofer played Lois Marie Cerullo for the first time on General
Hospital. Her first appearance was in 1993 as a manager for a group. Her first
role on television was as Rocky McKenzie, a daytime soap hosting host. Her most
famous role is her role on General Hospital as Lois Cerullo (December 15, 1993
- September 24 1996). In the following years, she was an actor on the show
(February 7-17 1997; September 30th - October 2nd 1997). In 1995, Sofer won a
Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress on a Drama Series for her
portrayal of Lois. In May 2013 it was announced that Sofer would be joining the
CBS soap show The Bold and the Beautiful with a brand new role of Quinn Fuller;
her first episode aired on the 12th of July. Sofer has been a guest as a cast
member or guest in a range of popular prime-time television shows, including
Seinfeld and Melrose Place. She also appeared on The Chronicle, Ed and Friends.
The show's first episode aired July 12.
