Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell, an American TV chef, and the former Institute of Culinary Education instructor she is a popular TV host. She's the host of Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network and the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Ann Burrell's Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant chef and her signature spiky blond locks and pumped to the max, shares simple techniques that anyone can master. Chef Burrell was employed at some of the most prestigious New York restaurants and studied Italian food traditions and landscape. In addition, she appeared in the Food Network's Iron Chef America. Growing up in upstate New York, Chef Burrell was captivated by food and cooking at young age. She pursued her love of working in the restaurant business by enrolling in The Culinary Institute of America following the completion of a bachelor's degree in English as well as Communication at Canisius College, Buffalo NY. I was awed by every minute as a student The Culinary Institute of America she says. I didn't have enough knowledge, couldn't achieve enough and couldn't push myself enough. After graduating, Chef Burrell spent a year in Italy attending Italy's Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners during her time at La Taverna del Lupo in Umbria as well as La Bottega del 30 a 1 Michelin star restaurant in Tuscany. In her time in Italy she learned to be aware of the history and concept behind Italian culinary and cultural traditions that created a lasting impact on her culinary standpoint. Burrell is a celebrity ambassador of the Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation and has been on the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that assists children who are struggling. As a keynote speaker and mentor, she travels around the U.S. to share her love for cooking and work. Anne declared that she felt fortunate having the opportunity to share her true passion with others.
