Rosario Isabel Dawson (born May 9, 1979)[3] is an American producer and actress. In 1995 she made her debut in a feature film in the independent drama Kids. Her roles in the following films include He Got Game (1998) and Josie and the Pussycats (2002). Dawson also voice-overs for Warner Bros./DC Comics and ViacomCBS Nickelodeon's Nickelodeon unit. For her role as Rent, Dawson was awarded the Satellite Award in Best Supporting Actress Motion Picture. And for Top Five, Dawson was nominated to the Critics Choice Award for Best actress in Comedy. Dawson was born on May 9, 1979, in New York City. Isabel Celeste, her mother is Afro-Cuban. Rosario was 16 when Isabel was born. Her mother, Isabel Celeste, never married Patrick C. Harris. When Rosario was just a year old, her mother was married to Greg Dawson, a construction worker. Dawson is four years older than Clay. Clay is Dawson's half-brother. Dawson is also known for her role in comic adaptations to books. These include Gail Sin City (2005), Sin City (2005), Sin City: A Dame to Kill For (2014), Claire Temple (2015-2018) and Diana Prince/Wonder woman on the DC Animated Movie Universe. She also plays Barbara Gordon/Batgirl in The Lego Batman Movie. In the year 2020, she played Ahsoka Tano in the second season of The Mandalorian, and is expected to be a part of the forthcoming Disney+ original series Ahsoka. In 2021, she will return to her role as Young Rock, a Dwayne Johnson comedy autobiographical comedy.
