Sarah Chalke

Sarah Chalke was born in Ottawa, Ontario Canada on 27 August 1976. Her parents are Angie Chalke and Doug Chalke. She is the middle of two sisters, one older, Natasha Chalke, one younger, Piper Chalke. Sarah's acting debut was in City Boy (1992), which was a TV-produced movie. In 1993, following her first film, she auditioned for the part of "Becky" in the TV series Roseanne (1988). The show was seeking a replacement after Alicia Goranson quit the show to go to college. Sarah completed her high school graduation in 1995, when she was filming the season 1994-1995 of Roseanne (1988). Also, in 1994, Sarah co-starred in the film Ernest Goes to School (1994) as did Jim Varney. In 1996, she appeared in two films in which she starred, including Robin of Locksley (1996) as well as Stand Against Fear (1996), where she played a cheerleader "Krista Wilson". Sarah was invited to play in a 1998 TV show called Nothing Too Good for a Cowboy. It was a year after Roseanne (1988). Based on the show Nothing Too Good For a Cowboy (1998) on which the show also had a basis. In 1993 Sarah took over Becky's role on Roseanne (1988). She said she wanted to retire from acting and attend college. [2001] (1993-1997) She played the older sister of Sara Gilbert on Roseanne (1988), but is actually younger. Participated in the 1999 CCMA Award Ceremony, where she was presented with an award for the most successful single of 1999. (September 1999) At the age of eight, she appeared in Vancouver stage productions. Fluent in French, German and Spanish. She is a volunteer at a hospice , where patients with terminal illness are treated and also works for the Audrey Hepburn Children's Fund. Chalke enjoys cooking with her friends (especially Thai or sushi) as well as play guitar as well as hike, ski (she's an instructor), and kayaking. Her father is a lawyer and both of her parents are mediators. They also run a child adoption agency. A couple of years ago she traveled with her parents to China to coordinate the adoption of several orphans.
