Dormer, born 11 February 1982 was an English actress from England. She has won
an Empire Award and been nominated for two Gemini Awards, two Critics Choice
Awards, as well as two Screen Actors Guild Awards. Dormer was born in Reading
(Berkshire) and made her TV debut as Anne Boleyn on the Showtime series The
Tudors. This role was praised by the public. In Sweet Nothings (2010), she made
her stage debut and she also played the Duchess of York in Madonna's W.E.
(2011) and Private Lorraine in Captain America: The First Avenger (2011). After
Miss Julie (2012) in the Young Vic, was highly and praised. Dormer received
international recognition and acclaim for playing Margaery Tyrell on the HBO
series Game of Thrones (2012-2016) and Cressida in the two final parts of The
Hunger Games franchise (2014-2015) that are the highest-grossing of her films.
She has also appeared as Irene Adler/Moriarty for the CBS series Elementary
(2013-15), Sara Price Jess Price in The Forest (2016) and voiced Onica in the
TV series The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance (2019). She was praised for her
part in Penny Dreadful City of Angels (2020). Dormer was born in Reading,
Berkshire, England, on 11 February 1982. She was the daughter of Gary Dormer
and wife Claire Richards and the sister of Mark Dormer and Samantha Dormer.
