Ullerup's debut role was in the role of Julia Brynn on the remake TV series Battlestar Galactica in 2006, which aired on the Sci Fi Channel. Ullerup played Ashley Magnus for the first and the second seasons on Sanctuary before the character was created. Her departure led to heated discussion among fans. Many wanted to bring her back on the show in a subsequent episodes, but the show was cancelled in 2012. Ullerup was cast in the year 2016 in the role of Bree O'Brien for Chesapeake Shores. Ullerup was chosen to play Maggie Thomas, Michael Thomas his estranged spouse for Asteroid: Final Impact (2005).
